Lodge Park Estate

When something seems too good to be true it normally is! But it’s fair to say that this is not the case with Frisby Lakes Lodge Park. Our beautiful award-winning Lodge Park near Melton Mowbray is probably the most ecologically and financially sustainable Lodge Park in the UK.

Firstly on your initial deposit, you receive a 99-year renewable pitch licence. On the final payment, you will be the owner of a cosy energy efficient Log cabin with an indefinite lifespan, meaning that unlike traditional ‘mobile homes’ your lodge will retain its value for generations to come and it has been the case here at Frisby Lakes they actually appreciate. Our adult only gated community is a vibrant, friendly and wonderful place to spend your time as it comes with a 12 month holiday licence. Holiday Lodge ownership here at Frisby Lakes start at only £160,000. Grandchildren and under 45’s are of course welcome as visitors.

We pride our estate on being inclusive to all adults, all the cabins can be made to be wheelchair accessible, and there are many walks around the estate that can be easily navigated on wheelchairs or mobility scooters. We are working on the fishery to create as many fishing pegs as we can to be accessible.

Phase one of our development is for owners only to enjoy, the next phase may include some holiday cabins, meaning you can gain an income from your investment here by letting your cabin for holidays, this can be for the odd week or for the full 12 months of the year. All holiday lets will be bound by the same rules ie adults only etc as all the other cabins.

All Lodges also come with a Free Fishing Ticket!

Countryside Log Homes, Holiday Cabins and More…

Goslings out on the grass

Frisby Lakes is aimed at those of us over 45 years old who enjoy peaceful walks, country pubs and maybe a little fishing or gentle water based pursuits.

BUILT BY FINLOG
Finlog is probably the longest established leading log company in the UK. Over the past 30 years, this family-run company have honed their product to what it is today and were the first company that designed and constructed the first ‘twin ridge’ mobile home, the first Log Lodge to gain full BS3632 approval in law.
Every log cabin is manufactured at the Finlog factory in Northern Finland and constructed on-site by Finlog’s own build team. If you would like to design your own log cabin, feel free to pop into the office discuss your ideas with the team.

Environmental Philosophy

Here at Frisby Lakes Lodge Park we like to do things a little differently. We are an ecologically sympathetic park with over 3000 trees planted here over the last 2 years with more planned. Timber is the only 100% renewable material; therefore, our solid Finnish Log lodges have timber sourced from managed forests which is crucial to sustainability. In addition, we offer renewable heating methods alongside modern conveniences such as piped gas to keep your expenses to a minimum.  Throughout the park, this environmental stance is reflected by the works being done to increase wildlife activity, such as a wadding area and Kingfisher point being introduced to entice birds to the area, along slide the introduction of bat & owl boxes. It is this work that led to the park being awarded the Gold David Bellamy Conservation Award 2015/16 on its inaugural application.

PLANS FOR FUTURE DEVELOPMENT
Once the Woodlands, Waters Edge, Lake View & The Maples Lodges have been built work will then begin constructing the remaining lodges. Following this, there are plans for a Lakeside Club House, complete with restaurant, bar & cafe built on the banks of the Great Lake. The new restaurant aims to be made of 99% natural materials and it is hoped the restaurant will be the first ‘off-grid’ restaurant in the UK. It will be built in a traditional style with stunning views and social areas. Throughout the park construction of many secluded picnics, seating and observation area along with BBQ spots solely for the use of lodge owners has already begun.

Testimonials

Don’t just take our word for how beautiful Frisby Lakes really is, read our customer testimonials below:

“30 years ago (omg), I was fishing here at both the main and small pits at Frisby. I could never imagine that one day I’d own a luxury holiday home here.

For me anyway, this is a major quality of life investment and it just had to be right before I would commit. Consequently, I was a regular visitor for meetings with the management team at Frisby Lakes asking everything I could think and going over plans and the business model many times.

I’m sure many park managers would have pushed the ‘hard-sell and I would have had to walk away but Rob and Sharon and the team were always friendly and patient all along and I’m so pleased now that I made the commitment.”

Colin Clark

“Just thought we’d say how delighted with our lodge we are. Built as expected on schedule and just as was promised. The help from Rob & Sharon in planning the layout was really thought through in great detail and any snags (which we haven’t had) would have been resolved as promised too.

Would recommend these fantastic builds. Love it”.

Phyllis & Ian

“We were pleased to be invited by Rob & Sharon to see the birdlife using Frisby Lakes. The area has some great habitat and a diverse range of species are already in residence. Their long-term aim is to monitor and further develop the wetlands to encourage bird species to feed, breed and roost in the area.”

Roger Brett

“Our solid log lodge is cosy, especially when the log burner is lit and we hunker down to listening to the raindrops on the roof. We love the incredible wildlife and in particular the variety of birds that visit our feeders. Walking around the lake with our dog is very special, as every time there is something new to see.”

Ron & Judy

“I have been at the park now for just a few months and look forward to many years more as it is a “life tonic” which naturally boosts your well being, all-round health and feelings of peaceful reflection.

It had actually been many years since I just sat and watched the day coming to an end, the birds coming home to roost and the sun lowering to set.”

It’s a lovely feeling when driving back to the park, approaching from a few miles away I start to feel any stress lift and a relaxation on returning to the perfect location in the Leicestershire countryside.

Colin Clark

“Totally Incredible. Being here is like being part of nature itself.

It’s amazing and every day there’s something new to see”.

Jane Mallison

“Beautiful idyllic peaceful place with amazing views, friendly atmosphere, and lovely local pubs, if you want to break away from the harsh routine of life this is truly the place to be to wind down and enjoy life”.

Angela Palmer

“In developing the lodge park, we want to harness the beauty surrounding us but recognise the importance of sustainability and technology. We offer exceptional energy-efficient lodges, with eco-friendly appliances, low maintenance finishes and a 10-year guarantee so that you and future generations will continue to enjoy the peace and tranquillity that made us relocate from London to the beautiful Leicestershire countryside”.

Sharon Sheridan

“Having worked on groundworks projects nationally, we are happy to be local and helping to develop Frisby Lakes, Lodge Park. Formally a quarry site we’ve moved 1000’s of tonnes of soil, deposited loads of hardcore and dug meters of trench for pipes and ducting. It was great getting the roads in place for phases 1 & 2 confident in the infrastructure and ready for the expansion into phases 3, 4 & 5. Being local, it’s great to support the project as we understand the characteristics of the land “.
